July 28–30 Continued Monitoring
Over the following days, Patient 26-519 remained under close veterinary and rehabilitation monitoring.
Her treatment plan continued to evolve according to her appetite, hydration, blood values, clinical behavior and the results becoming available from outside laboratories.
The veterinary team continued investigating infectious disease, toxic exposure, inflammatory disease and other possible causes of her anemia.
At this stage, there was still no definitive diagnosis.
This period is an important example of why complex medical investigations take time. Specialized tests are selected based on the findings that come before them, samples must be submitted to appropriate laboratories, and some results require days or longer to become available.
Meanwhile, the patient still requires daily care regardless of whether a diagnosis has been reached.
