August 4 Preparing for Advanced Diagnostics

Patient 26-519 was prepared for the next stage of the diagnostic investigation.

The veterinary team coordinated with outside specialists and a specialty hospital so that advanced imaging and bone marrow sampling could be performed together, limiting the number of separate anesthetic events required.

Additional samples were submitted for specialized testing that was not available through routine laboratory panels.

By this stage, Patient 26-519's case involved consultation with multiple veterinarians and specialists in avian medicine, diagnostic imaging, clinical pathology and wildlife medicine.
