IT’S BABY SEASON AT THE OJAI RAPTOR CENTER!
THIS IS OUR BUSIEST, MOST EXPENSIVE TIME OF THE YEAR.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Last year ORC successfully RAISED AND RELEASED 421 babies!
That number included: 147 Barn Owls 97 Songbirds 32 Hummingbirds 22 Red-shouldered Hawks 21 Opossums 19 Great Horned Owls 16 Red-tailed Hawks 15 American Kestrels

One baby Barn Owl will eat 10 mice each day!
Feeding and housing baby birds requires significant resources. Add these to the other 600 birds and animals, from throughout Southern California, that came through ORC's doors in 2006, and you can understand why we are asking for your help.
In addition, ORC is beginning to clean up and construct aviaries on a site which will become our central Rehabilitation facility. We hope to have the aviaries ready by the time this year's orphaned babies are learning to fly and care for themselves, before being released.
The Ojai Raptor Center is a 501(c)( 3) non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation and release of injured and orphaned wildlife. We also provide environmental education to children and adults in our community. ORC is staffed entirely by volunteers and supported solely by your generous donations. All donations are tax deductible.
You can help in several ways. We accept donations via cash, personal check, credit card, and Pay Pal (available through our Raptor Store shopping cart for your convenience). You may also sponsor a baby, or shop for ORC T-shirts and calendars at the Raptor Store.
We hope you enjoy these pictures of some of our recent arrivals.
